Hurayra is the first truly halal cat food in the UK. How can you be sure? Well, we are proud that our pet food is the first to be certified by the Halal Monitoring Committee (HMC).
About our halal cat food
At Hurayra, our team have been working hard to develop a dry cat food unique to the UK, tasking ourselves with creating delicious food for your furry friend that is 100% halal-certified, to bring into your home.
Our three flavours, Tuna, Ocean Fish, and Chicken, along with our Kitten food, are high in protein, full of natural ingredients from natural sources, and are free from artificial colours, additives and preservatives to promote good digestion. Each flavour also includes all the essential nutrients that your cat needs, such as Vitamin A, D and E, to promote a healthy immune system and help protect against infection, along with minerals to keep their coat shiny and smooth.
We have tried and tested our flavours on some of the fussiest cats we know to ensure that we have developed a product that meets your pet’s unique needs!

For now, you can get our delicious cat food directly from us online, delivered right to your door. We’re looking into more ways to make Hurayra available, including possibly supermarkets in the future. Keep an eye out!
We’re aiming to launch around July/August! We’re navigating through some official hoops but not far off getting the boring (but important) bits signed off. We’ll keep you in the loop every step of the way.

At the moment, we’re focusing on our dry cat food because it’s designed to provide a natural balance that keeps your cat healthy. Dry food is nutrient-rich, cost-effective, and encourages healthy water intake—plus, it’s packed with all the natural ingredients, vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids your cat needs for a happy, healthy life. We haven’t ruled out wet food, so stay tuned for future updates!

The story so far
In 2023, Aihtsham Rashid faced the challenge of finding cat food in the UK that met both Islamic standards of purity and the ethical treatment of animals. Determined to provide only the best for his beloved cats Ivy and Coco, Aihtsham decided to solve the problem himself and began searching globally for options that would guarantee the production of 100% halal cat food.
From this journey, Hurayra was born and is proud to offer halal-certified cat food that is healthy, nutritious, and full of natural ingredients.
