How to store your cat food

The Hurayra team

After finding a healthy and nutritious cat food for your furry friend, it’s essential to store it correctly to keep it fresh for as long as possible.

Choose the right container

When storing dry cat food, the right container will help you keep it fresher for longer. Airtight containers that seal tightly and keep air and moisture out will prevent cat food from becoming stale whilst preventing any insects or other contaminants from coming into contact with the food.

We recommend looking for containers that are durable, made of food-grade materials and easy to clean.

Store in a cool, dry place

After transferring the cat food to a suitable container, store it in a spot away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures that could cause it to spoil quickly. A cupboard away from heat sources such as radiators or stoves is ideal, including a location which little paws can’t access!

Avoid overstocking

It may be tempting to purchase cat food in bulk to save money, but buying more than your cat can consume can increase the risk of the food spoiling before it’s used. To avoid overstocking pet food, choose our Hurayra Cat Food subscription for uninterrupted monthly deliveries of our premium, nutritious, halal-certified cat food.

This service guarantees you never have to worry about running out or making last-minute purchases. We manage the schedule, ensuring your cat’s feeding routine is always on track, giving you more quality moments with your furry friend.
